Superintendent Loftus reflected on the close of the 2025-26 school year, noting from award nights and scholarship ceremonies to elementary field days, promotions, and graduations, students, families, and staff came together to celebrate a year of learning and achievement.
Ms. Loftus also recognized the many employees whose work often takes place behind the scenes. "Families experience a promotion or graduation ceremony as a single evening. Staff experience it as months of preparation," she said. "As I have attended events across the district this spring, I have been reminded how many people contribute behind the scenes to create meaningful experiences for students and families."
She expressed appreciation for the dedicated employees who help make these milestone moments possible and noted that district staff are already turning their attention to the next opportunity to support students, with summer school beginning June 10.
