Paso Robles High School Music Department Presents “The Big Spring Show” at TPAC

Following an overwhelming response to winter’s electrifying joint performance of “Baba Yetu,” the Paso Robles High School (PRHS) Music Department is returning to the stage with a production that promises to be even bigger, bolder, and more memorable.
On May 15, 2026, the Templeton Performing Arts Center (TPAC) will host The Big Spring Show, a dynamic, high-energy concert showcasing the full breadth of PRHS’s exceptional music program. The evening will feature performances by Forte (PRHS’s advanced choir), the Crimson Collective Singers, and the award-winning Jazz and Concert Bands, culminating in a powerful collaborative finale.
Two performances will be offered at 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., providing multiple opportunities for the community to attend. Tickets are available at TempletonPAC.org/events.
The highlight of the evening will be a dramatic combined performance of “O Fortuna,” bringing together choir and band in a thrilling, full-scale musical experience, chosen in answer to the many audience requests for another large-scale collaboration following the standing-ovation success of “BabaYetu” earlier this year. The finale is designed to immerse the audience in a sweeping blend of sound, intensity, and emotion.
Returning to TPAC for the second time, the PRHS Music Department is proud to showcase its students in one of North County’s premier performance venues. The program will feature a diverse repertoire, including selections such as “MacArthur Park,” “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest,” “Walk Out on the Water,” and “Singkap Siaga,” highlighting the range and versatility of these student musicians.
Under the direction of Humberto Cera, the PRHS Jazz and Concert Bands include students in grades 9–12, from beginning musicians to those preparing to continue their studies at the collegiate level. Forte, directed by Gaylene Ewing, is the school’s premier auditioned choir, while the Crimson Collective Singers represent a select ensemble of advanced vocalists.
After a year of dedication, growth, and performance, The Big Spring Show serves as a culminating celebration of the PRHS music program—an evening designed to inspire audiences and showcase the remarkable talent of its students.
