Career Technical Education Expands Across Paso Schools [SLO New Times]
SLO New Times staff writer Chloë Hodge recently highlighted the growth of Career Technical Education across Paso Schools, where hands-on career preparation has become part of the high school experience for a majority of PRHS students. During the 2025–26 school year, 57 percent of Paso Robles High School students took at least one CTE course, with pathways spanning agriculture, health care, engineering, cybersecurity, construction, welding, automotive technology, early childhood education, culinary arts and more.
The story also looks at the District’s continued expansion of career-connected learning, including the new cosmetology pathway at PRHS and public safety pathway at Liberty High School, along with dual-enrollment opportunities, industry certifications, internships and partnerships with local employers.
