Preparing for Emergencies: PRHS Athletics Partners with Paso Robles Fire

KSBY recently joined Paso Robles High School Athletics and the Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services Department for a behind-the-scenes look at PRHS Athletics’ annual Emergency Action Plan training.
During the exercise, coaches, athletic personnel, and emergency responders practiced coordinated responses to serious medical emergencies that can occur during athletic activities, including sudden cardiac arrest, head and neck injuries, exertional heat stroke, and significant fractures or dislocations. The annual training gives PRHS staff an opportunity to rehearse established emergency procedures in realistic scenarios while receiving feedback from local fire and emergency personnel.
The partnership is part of PRHS Athletics’ ongoing work to ensure staff are prepared to respond quickly, confidently, and effectively when student safety is on the line.
