21 Paso Robles Students Earn Perfect Scores on State Assessments

Twenty-one students from Paso Robles Joint Unified School District (PRJUSD) achieved perfect scores on California's statewide academic assessments during the 2025–2026 school year, an outstanding accomplishment recognized by the District's Board of Trustees at its October 27 meeting.
Together, the 21 students earned a remarkable 24 perfect scores across three subject areas: 12 in English language arts, 11 in mathematics, and one in science. Several students achieved perfect scores in more than one subject.
The California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) system measures student achievement in core academic subjects. Students in grades 3–8 and 11 participate in statewide assessments in English language arts and mathematics, while the California Science Test (CAST) is administered in grades 5 and 8 and once during high school.
Earning a perfect score means a student achieved the highest possible score on the assessment for their grade level—a distinction that reflects exceptional mastery of California's academic standards.
Students earning perfect scores represented seven PRJUSD schools: Georgia Brown Dual Immersion, Kermit King Elementary, Lewis Flamson Junior High, Paso Robles High School, Pat Butler Elementary, Virginia Peterson Elementary, and Winifred Pifer Elementary.
During the Board meeting, the District celebrated these students for their dedication, perseverance, and academic excellence while recognizing the teachers, staff, and families who support their learning.
The accomplishments of these 21 students reflect both individual achievement and the District's commitment to providing rigorous instruction, meaningful academic opportunities, and a supportive learning environment in which students can excel.
