The Business Services Department serves as the operational backbone of the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District, dedicated to managing the essential non-instructional functions that sustain a high-quality learning environment. Directed by Assistant Superintendent Brad Pawlowski, the team oversees a diverse portfolio including Facilities and Planning, Finance, Food Services, Maintenance and Operations, Purchasing, Transportation, and Risk Management. By ensuring fiscal responsibility and operational efficiency, Business Services provides the stable foundation necessary for educators to focus on teaching and students to thrive in their academic journeys. 

 

 

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Facilities and Planning – Oversees facility development, modernization, and long-term planning for district sites.

  • Finance – Manages district budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting to ensure responsible stewardship of public funds.

  • Food Services – Provides nutritious meals that support student health and readiness to learn.

  •  Maintenance and Operations – Maintains safe, clean, and functional school facilities and grounds.
  • Purchasing & Warehouse – Procures goods and services and manages inventory to support district programs.

 

  • Transportation – Ensures safe and reliable transportation for students.

  • Risk Management – Manages district risk, insurance, and safety programs.

  • Workers’ Compensation – Supports employees through workplace injury claims and compliance processes.
