Paso Robles High School Senior Recognized by National Merit Scholarship Program

PRHS senior Unika Mae Bailey has been named a Commended Student in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program, earning national recognition for her outstanding academic achievement.
Bailey is among approximately 34,000 students nationwide to receive this distinction. Commended Students rank among the top 50,000 students who entered the 2027 National Merit Scholarship competition by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) in 2025.
Although Commended Students do not advance in the competition for National Merit Scholarships, the recognition reflects exceptional academic promise and places them among the nation's highest-performing students on the qualifying exam.
Principal Michael Susank will present Bailey with a Letter of Commendation from Paso Robles High School and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), which administers the program.
The National Merit Scholarship Program recognizes academically talented students across the country, highlighting their achievements and encouraging them to continue pursuing educational excellence.
