Paso Robles Joint Unified School District Announces 2026 Districtwide Employees of the Year

Paso Robles Joint Unified School District (PRJUSD) proudly recognized its 2026 Districtwide Employees of the Year during a celebration honoring outstanding staff members from across the district.
This year’s honorees were selected by their colleagues, making the recognition especially meaningful. School sites first selected their certificated and classified employees of the year, who then advanced to the districtwide selection process. Additional districtwide categories included Student Support Services Employee of the Year, Administrator of the Year and Rookie of the Year.
The 2026 PRJUSD Districtwide Employees of the Year are:
Teacher of the Year: Alex Huggins, teacher, Lewis Flamson Junior High School
Classified Employee of the Year: Tracey Cagliero, Librarian, Georgia Brown Dual Immersion
Administrator of the Year: Brandon Duncan, Principal, Lewis Flamson Junior High School
Student Supports and District Services Employee of the Year: Jennifer Asadoor, Instructional Coach
Rookie of the Year: Gabrielle Mahfood, teacher, Kermit King Elementary School
“These employees represent the very best of PRJUSD,” said Superintendent Jennifer Loftus. “They lead with dedication, and their impact is felt by students, families and colleagues across our district. We are proud to celebrate their service and the many ways they help our students discover their strengths, build resilience and thrive.”
Alex Huggins, named District Teacher of the Year, was recognized for her leadership, positivity and deep commitment to students at Lewis Flamson Junior High School. In addition to teaching leadership, AVID and English language development, she serves as Activities Director and supports students through coaching, schoolwide events and campus culture-building efforts.
Tracey Cagliero, librarian at Georgia Brown Dual Immersion, was named District Classified Employee of the Year for her tireless support of students and staff. Colleagues described her as a welcoming and dependable presence whose work extends far beyond the library.
Brandon Duncan, principal of Lewis Flamson Junior High School, was named Administrator of the Year for his positive leadership, collaborative approach and commitment to building a supportive school environment for students and staff.
Jennifer Asadoor, an instructional coach, was named Student Support Services Employee of the Year for her mentorship, professionalism and steady support of educators throughout the district’s elementary schools.
Gabrielle Mahfood, a transitional kindergarten teacher at Kermit King Elementary School, was named Rookie of the Year for her exceptional work as a first-year PRJUSD teacher and her thoughtful, developmentally appropriate approach to supporting the district’s youngest learners.
PRJUSD congratulates all 2026 Employees of the Year nominees and honorees, whose dedication and service make a lasting difference for students every day.
