Food Services Staff

Jessie Wesch is the new Director of Food Service for the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District. Jessie has 10+ years of experience in the food service industry, working in various establishments, from production to catering private events.  She most recently came from Shandon Joint Unified School District, where she focused on "scratch cooking" and farm-to-table initiatives in their kitchen.  She has a tremendous passion for feeding children wholesome, nutritious food that is not only tasteful but also sustainable for our environment. 

Jessie is a Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Alumni with a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, a Minor in Food Science, and a Master's Degree in Nutrition.  The focus of her Master's Thesis was a nutrition education and culinary skill-building program geared toward middle school students.  Here, she learned the impact of hands-on learning and how access to and exposure to fresh fruits and vegetables can influence food consumption.

She has two young children, a 2 1/2-year-old and a 3-month-old, who ignite her passion and enthusiasm in the kitchen.
