The Independent Skills Program is currently comprised of two classes; the Ghost Peppers and the Wolverines. We are a community-based program that focuses on functional life skills as well as employment opportunities. The mission of ISP is to prepare our clients for adult life by equipping them with the necessary skills and providing opportunities to practice these skills at a variety of job sites. We work in partnership with the Department of Rehabilitation in order to place clients into paid positions with local businesses.

The Independence Skills Program recognizes the individual capabilities of each client and strives to instill the confidence and independence necessary for self-advocacy, leadership, teamwork and life-long accomplishment.

Classroom lessons include schedule planning, visual and performing arts, as well as social and professional development. Clients are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the site.
