Marie Bauer Early Education Center is one of the sites where SLOCOE hosts the Raising A Reader program, a nationally known program that encourages early literacy and bonding with children. Our preschoolers get to choose a red bag to take home every Thursday on a weekly basis. At Marie Bauer, it is also called the "lending" library because it is the beginning of children learning to "borrow" books just like they will be doing when they go to the city library or their school library in the future.
