This is the message from Starr Wilder, M.A. Ed. 5th Grade Teacher at Virginia Peterson Elementary School:
I had a student, Jesus Rios, that I nominated to go to Washington, D.C., for the Jr. National Young Leaders Conference in June 2023. He attends Lewis now, and Jesus and his family are excited about this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. As a Panda, he demonstrated leadership qualities and served as our student council president. His family and I are in the initial stages of raising the necessary funds. It is expensive, and they cannot afford it, as you can imagine. We are asking the district to show their support. I'm attaching our go fund me account. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. We would love some shares on social media and our grateful for financial support too!
