Parent Ambassador Program - Coming Soon
The District is working on establishing a Parent Ambassador Program where we will soon reach out to our parents for assistance to become our liaisons to other parents.
At least two Parent Ambassadors Leads will be selected (via an application process) to represent each K-12 school site. One English and one Spanish-speaking parent is the proposed selection.
The Parent Ambassador Leads from the group will be selected to support school sites. The Lead ambassadors must be available at least 10 hours per month to provide coaching and support to the Ambassadors at the sites.
The Parent Ambassador will be supported by a Program Coordinator (i.e., The Link or another family engagement community organization) in partnership with the PRJUSD Community Communication Specialist and/or other district staff.
Parent Ambassadors will attend meetings and training based on a leadership curriculum to acquire skills focused on advocacy, leadership, and capacity-building.
