After-School Programs

  • Paso Robles Joint Unified School District is proud to have several options of after-school programs available for students.

    ASES (After School Education & Safety) Program

    The ASES after school program is designed as an academic enhancement program that supports the regular education day with enrichment activities and a healthy snack. ASES provides a safe and structured environment for students after school. The ASES program is FREE for students in K - 5th grade and is available when school is in session.  ASES is located at Glen Speck, Virginia Peterson, and Winifred Pifer.

    PRYDE (Paso Robles Youth Development and Enrichment) Program

    The PRYDE program provides after and out-of-school services to PRJUSD families in need of a safe and fun place for their children year round. PRYDE supports child development, academics and provides a snack from our culinary department.  PRYDE is located at Pat Butler, Kermit King, and Georgia Brown. PRYDE may enroll students from any PRJUSD elementary school. PRYDE is fee based and receives CDE subsidy to offer reduced fees to qualifying families.  

    Early Learning Academy (Preschool Age/TK Care)

    The Early Learnng Academy is licensed for 2 - 5 year olds with a priority given to children 3 5 years of age. TK students may be eligible for before or after care. The Early Learning Academy is located on the Marie Bauer Early Education Center Campus. The Early Learning Academy is a fee based program and accepts outside subsidies.     After school athletics 

    PRJUSD is proud to offer free after school elementary athletic programs to students in 3rd - 5th grade throughout the year. Click on the link on the left for schedules or inquire at your school office. 

    Additional PRJUSD after school options

    Each PRJUSD elementary school offers limited after school bus or yard duty supervison.

    All PRJUSD schools also have additonal supportive options such as clubs, groups, periodic events, a short period of library aviablity or other options on campus. Please contact your school directly to inquire about these possibilites.   


    Alternate after school options (non- PRJUSD programs) 

    CAPSLO child care resource center offers a listing of many local after school care providers. Contact CAPSLO at 805.541.2272. 

    Additional local center based providers include Boys and Girls Club, YMCA, and People Self Help Housing.
