The State Immunization Board determines immunization requirements for school entry. Immunization records should be presented to the school staff at the time of enrollment.
Please communicate promptly with school staff if your child has not completed the required immunizations.

Senate Bill 227
Children learn best when they are healthy. The following information is directly from new legislation regarding student vaccination. This is important information for all parents/guardians of school-aged children. Starting July 1, 2016:
Senate Bill 277 will no longer permit immunization exemptions based on personal beliefs for children in child care and public and private schools.
Senate Bill 277 will allow personal belief exemptions submitted before January 1, 2016 to remain valid until a pupil reaches kindergarten or 7th grade.
Senate Bill 277 does not apply to students in home-based private schools and students enrolled in an independent study program who do not receive classroom-based instruction.
Senate Bill 277 does not prohibit a pupil who qualifies for an individualized education program from accessing any special education and related services.
All parents/guardians will still need to provide student immunization records to the district office before entry.
All schools will still need to report the immunization status of all students in child care, kindergarten, and 7th grade levels to the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).
