    Clearing Absences

     

    Per the requirements set by CDE (California Department of Education) and AB 98, attendance must be taken during Distance Learning.  Students will be marked absent if they do not participate during their scheduled class time.  Just like during the regular year, teachers will work with student that are absent to make up missed work following the guidelines in the PRHS Student Handbook.

     

    Please clear any absences the DAY of the absence.  Excused Absences can only include illness, medical appointments, death of an immediate family member, jury duty or court appearance, or a religious ceremony or retreat.  Illness that lasts more than 3 days requires a doctor's note. All doctors notes require signature and stamp. All other absences are considered unexcused. Absences can be cleared by either of the following:

    • Call the attendance office at (805) 769-1510.  Please leave a message with your student’s name, your name, and the reason for the absence. We try to answer the phone each time. If we miss your call please leave a message. Attendance voicemails are delivered to our computer and are processed throughout the day.
    • Email the attendance office at prhsattendance@pasoschools.org. Please leave a message with your student’s name, your name, and the reason for the absence. We verify email addresses with the address listed in Aeries and will call with any questions.
    • When you receive the autodialer message informing you of your student absence stay on the line and leave a message for our Attendance Office.
