Before continuing on this page, it is assumed you have read and understood the basics of logging in to the Novell network from your school site.  If you haven't, we strongly recommend you do so now by clicking here.

This page will give you a clear understanding of how to login to your Novell account from anywhere in the district.  The area we'll be instructing you on, will be the Username area circled in red as indicated on the image below.

  Text in red and Highlighted in yellow, is text typed into the username box.

1)    When entering your username, type a period then your first initial,
then your last name in the username box.  Never use
any spaces anywhere in the username box or the password box.
Example; Sandy Kiel would be .skiel .

2)    Next is container your account is located.  If you're a teacher,
your container would be .teachers .  (Please notice and add the period)
If you work in the office, then your container would be .office .
For the example, we will be concentrating on a teachers' account.
You should have the following typed into
the Username box; .skiel.teachers

3)    Since Sandy Kiel is a teacher at Lewis, the next text
to type is .lewis .  You should have the following typed into
the Username box; .skiel.teachers.lewis

4)    Since Lewis is a school location, you must enter
the type of school (or office) your account is located.
Since Lewis is a middle school, you must type
.middleschools. Now you should have the following
typed into the Username box; .skiel.teachers.lewis.middleschools

5)    The final part of your username is the districts'
top container called .prps.   You should have the
following typed into the Username box;
.skiel.teachers.lewis.middleschools.prps

6)    The final part of this login is to enter
your password and click "OK".
