Advanced

Course Description:
The advanced class at PRHS is composed pf approximately 15-20 dancers. This group, also known as "Jazz 'n' Company" performs many styles of dance at various local events including home football games, assemblies, and the annual PRHS Dance Show. In recent years this group has also traveled throughout the state and the country, dancing in Long Beach, Chicago, and New York City!

This class is heavily based upon performance and choreography, so the dancers are urged (but not required) to take other dance classes in the community in order to maintain strong technique. During the fall semester, students create dances for a choreography project and during the spring semester, the class emphasis shifts to rehearsing and preparing for the dance show.

An audition is required to enroll in this class. Auditions are held each spring for the following school year.
