Accelerated Reader

Accelerated Reader (AR) is a computerized Reading Management system that is Kindergarten through 5th grade at Virginia Peterson School.  With AR students read books that are at the Zone of Proximal development for them.  After reading the book, the student takes an AR quiz on the computer in their classroom.  The AR program grades the quiz instantly and lets the student know how they did on the quiz.  This program gives the teacher valuable reports and assessments that assist in the reading development of the student.

Below is a list of the quizzes that are available at Virginia Peterson School by reading level. Reading level is designated by the grade and month in school (eg. Quiz 2.0-2.9 = Second grade start through second grade ninth month).
