Thank you for visiting the Kermit King Elementary School webpage. I am pleased to tell you about our California Distinguished School.

Kermit King Elementary School is nestled among the beautiful rolling hills and vineyards of Paso Robles.  The physical beauty of the structures and setting of the school is a metaphor for the precious children and families who call Kermit King their home.  The students at Kermit King are so much more than students; they are readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists, historians, humanitarians, and self-managers.  To the school community, Kermit King is a place to foster the love of learning, to serve the school community, and it is a family.

Kermit King Elementary School offers a rigorous curriculum that is directly aligned to the California State Standards and is delivered by highly qualified and dedicated teachers.  In addition, this school community highly values character development and so the nine traits of a self-manager are taught and exemplified throughout the school.  Our greatest school accomplishments have been born out of school, home, and community collaboration.  So, if you are interested in becoming involved at Kermit King, please consider volunteering or attending one or more of our parent group meetings:  PTA, Dads’ Club, English Language Advisory Committee, and School Site Council.  Dates and times are listed each month in our newsletter, The Lily Pad, which is included on this website.  Also, I welcome your questions and ideas so please do not hesitate to come in and talk with me.

Warmly and with the joy of learning,

Carol Kenyon
